A new pedestrian pathway was recently constructed in Bethany Beach along Collins Street, a portion of Kent Avenue and Wellington Parkway. While the project took approximately three months to be completed, many years of Bethany Beach Town Council discussions and subsequent planning were required to bring this new passageway for pedestrians and cyclists to life.

Bethany Beach Town Council Member Mickey Hinman is a strong advocate of the recently completed project, and he says this is just one of many steps he and other members of the town council hope will improve overall pedestrian safety in Bethany.

This compares to 1 at the same time last year and 2 in May of 2022. While there is vulnerability in the market, the continuation of low inventory in Bear Trap has kept values elevated (currently there are no properties for sale in the community).

During the month of May, 3 properties went under contract in the community of Bayside.   This compares to 4 properties at the same time last year, and 4 in May of 2022. There is some softening of values, particularly for single family homes where we have seen a notable rise in inventory (13 properties for sale vs. 6 at this time in 2023). However, there is still a plethora of buyers waiting for specific properties to be listed for sale, especially condos/townhomes where there are now 2 properties for sale, vs. 4 at this time last year.

During the month of May, 35 properties went under contract in the town of Ocean View.  This compares to 30 properties at the same time last year, and 17 properties in May of 2022. Overall, values are stable in Ocean View to-date when compared to last year.  Inventory is up just slightly with 87 properties currently listed for sale versus 77 at this time last year.
